The Introduction...

Hello all. I meant to start this blog on 1/1/09 to start fresh but, as my readers and those who know me may realize I procrastinate like there is no tomorrow... well actually like there is a lot of tomorrows lol.

The basics: Alex, Male, 24 Years Old, from Dominican Republic, Single, 5'10"

I don't know too much protocol of how the blogging world works besides what I have read so if it comes out unorthodox then so be it. This is just a form of expression and I figure this to be a modern day journal open to the world to look into my existence and possibly get good feedback and advice or at least entertain a soul or two.

I was born in New York and raised by my two parents in Washington Heights until sophomore year of high school and moved to Louisiana, not exactly the city of New Orleans but the area. I stayed there and finished college at the University of New Orleans (UNO for future references) with a bachelor's degree in business management. I moved back to New York ummm I would say November 2007 or so, the reason not so clear either. I moved for no apparent reason, I had nothing tying me down, I had just finished quitting my job after I finished school, had no girlfriend or kids, and I just kind of wanted to try it up north again. It was basically on a whim and said "Fuck It." I lived with my parents forever then when I moved I was living in my uncle's house in the Bronx, but recently I moved out and live with a couple of roommates in Queens.

I always loved to write essays n whatnot in school and when I talk I sometimes ramble on, so the grammar may not be perfect but I finally get to see if this scratches the itch. Shout out to my boy cane for motivating me to start doing this (check him out at http://Whoiscane.blogspot.com), hopefully it turns out enjoyable.

I consider myself a well rounded individual in every aspect. I guess everything boils down from music; I listen to a wide variety ranging from rock, hip-hop, r&b, alternative, bachata, merengue, salsa (unfortunately salsa I cant dance...yet), acoustic, yea even throw in some techno or whatever as long as it's good music I'm in there like swimwear. My iPod on random really is random.

Music in turn leads to style. As far as clothes I changed a lot since I was younger, no more baggy pants for me lol... I do the t-shirt jeans and sneakers, all the way through shirt and tie. I feel as there is a time and place for everything, the situation mostly dictates the dress code.

I am huuuuuuuuuge on sports. My favorite teams are the New Orleans Saints, New York Mets, LSU Tigers (this is the sister school of UNO, my alma mater), and the New Orleans Hornets. I despise people who have 3 different favorite teams (put all your eggs in one basket and either sink or swim damn it), and bandwagon fans (seriously who has their 3 favorite teams being the Lakers, the Cowboys, and the Yankees.... have a backbone for goodness sake). Another way I am highly connected with sports is gambling.... yes I am a degenerate gambler. My NFL pick for the playoffs so far were:

Wildcard weekend
(It was against the spread but I just forgot what they were)
Arizona over Atlanta ---- WIN
Minnesota over Philly ---- LOSS
San Diego over Indy ---- WIN
Baltimore over Miami ---- WIN

3-1 not too bad...

Divisional Weekend
Tennessee (-3) over Baltimore ---- LOSS
San Diego (+6) over Pittsburgh ---- LOSS
Giants (-4) over Philly ---- LOSS
Carolina (-10.5) over Arizona ---- LOSS

sigh... 0-4 bad weekend lol

Championship games will be predicted later on in the week along with any bets I make to have a testament to my bad luck...

By the way I am an unlucky bastard, the documentation of this begins now!

Welcome to my life...
